Drawing from Non-Place is a site-specifc installation about the poetics of a non-place. Non-places, according to anthropologist Marc Auge are spaces characterized by constant transition and temporality and a by-product of globalization.  I am intrested in the ephemerality and materiality of these spaces to generate work.

This work has existed in a variation of forms:

a.) an installation in a corridor consisting of 6 bulletin boards. Each bulletin board in the installation was copied from a bulletin board found in the stairwell leading to and from the installation
b.) amplifiying the ambience of the installation back onto itself in realtime
c.) two videos
d.) and six concrete poems of the reoccuring flyers found on each bulletin board
